Ready to order your draft or Friesian saddle? These are custom built saddles. So when you place your order, then we will build the saddle to your specifications. Saddle builds take approx 3-8 weeks, depending on the time of year, the options you choose and how busy our saddle maker is. We will let you know when you place your order approximately how long the build will take.
These saddles are built on a wood tree that is specifically designed to comfortably fit your draft or wide horse. Draft trees come with bars that are built flatter to fit the draft horse's wider back comfortably.

Dispelling a myth: We have had customers tell us that their draft needs a 9", 10", 11" gullet or bigger. However, the measurement they are referring to is NOT the gullet width. The largest the gullet can be is 8"...any larger than that and the tree would collapse in on itself. Simple physics! The measurement they may be referring to is the distance between the inside of the bars. The way our draft tree is designed with flatter, wider bars, we successfully fit all draft horses with either a 7", 7.5" or 8" gullet.
We also have the ability to fit the Friesian horses with our specially designed Friesian tree. This Friesian tree design only works with the Friesian saddle styles.

Here are some pictures of Rohan sporting his new saddle. Sorry it took so long but I have been spending too much time riding in it. This thing fits him like a glove. No more saddle roll. When I cinch him up he doesn't bat an eye anymore. Also, as you predicted it fits my Clydesdale/ Standardbred cross as well. Thanks so much for your help.
